This Vegan Banana Cake is Delicious

Do you have a vegan friend that’s coming over? It’s always nice to have a baked good ready when you’re entertaining guests and this vegan banana cake will impress your vegan and dairy-loving friends. It’s super easy to make and it tastes amazing! Here’s the recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 3-4 very ripe bananas
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup coconut sugar
  • 3/4 cup grapeseed oil 
  • 2 cups whole spelled flour (either plain or half flour)
  • Teaspoon and a half of baking powder
  • Half a teaspoon of baking soda
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate.
  • 1 cup of walnuts, chopped pecans, or sliced ​​almonds
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mash ripe bananas.
  2. Add sugar, cinnamon, and oil.
  3. Add flour, baking powder, and salt to the bowl and mix well. Add chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate to the batter.
  4. Transfer the batter to a pan. On top of the cake batter, sprinkle walnuts, pecans, sliced ​​almonds, or chocolate. 
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 F degrees, for about 25-35 minutes or until the skewer comes out clean. Immediately after the cake comes out of the oven, pour about two tablespoons of maple syrup on it. 
  6. The cake should be cooled outside the oven before slicing.
