This Summer, Break These Bad Grilling Habits

People tend to do things the way they’ve always done them, without questioning or thinking too much. Since virtually everything can be improved in one way or another, we’re sharing 3 bad grilling habits that you may have so you can break them and enjoy the summer evenings even more.

Not Cleaning the Grill Immediately

You know you’re going to do it eventually, so it’s better to just clean the grill as you’re finished using it. If you postpone it, you’ll only have to work harder to remove the baked-on crud before the next use.

Leaving Open Lid

The grill lid exists for a reason. If you leave it open while cooking, you’ll let the heat get away and it will affect the cooking temperature, making it easier to mess up the food.

Grilling Cold Food

Before putting anything on the grill, get it out of the fridge and let warm up. Grilling cold food will lead to a longer cooking time and uneven cooking. You only need to think about this 30 minutes ahead and once it becomes a habit, you won’t even have to think about it.
