This Pistachio Butter Will Make You Forget All About Peanut Butter

Peanuts may have started the trend, but these days, it seems every nut has its own butter (and no, we’re not talking about your crazy neighbor). From almonds to cashews, everyone has their favorite, but if you’re asking for ours, we’re going all in with pistachios!

Serve it on bread, swirl it through ice cream, or eat it straight out of the jar with a spoon—it’s that good.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups pistachios
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. 
  2. Spread the pistachios out onto a lined baking tray and bake for 10 minutes until lightly golden.
  3. Transfer the nuts into a blender or food processor with the salt and blitz until it becomes a fine meal. Use a spoon to scrape down the sides as needed and then continue the process until the nuts release their natural oils. 
  4. If desired, add honey to taste and continue to blitz until the nuts become a smooth and runny paste.
