Christmas is around the corner and we have found the perfect gift! We didn’t know that we needed a candle that smelt like a jarful of pickles, but thankfully the people at Vlasic have us in mind.
Vlasic has been producing pickles for 80 years, having been started by a Bosnian immigrant. Eight decades later, the company still uses cucumbers grown in Michigan where it all began.
Ahead of the holidays (and in time for National Pickle Day which falls on November 14), Vlasic has partnered with candle manufacturer, Candier, to produce a candle that looks and smells just like a jar of Vlasic Original Dill Wholes! The candle is 100% wax-based and it took quite a bit of work to create.
“Everything had to be done by hand, including the placement of the pickles and pouring of the wax,” said Krysten Kauder who founded Candier. “Getting the pickles to look like they’re floating in clear liquid was also really tough. After lots of rounds of research and testing, our team nailed it.”
The first-ever pickle candle is available for $29 from November 14.
