Ever find yourself stuck in a sandwich rut, flipping through the same old recipes? Let’s shake things up a bit with a Chicken Parm Burger. This is your classic Italian Chicken Parmesan and your favorite burger coming together for the ultimate sandwich experience.
Ingredients:
For the Chicken:
- 3 chicken breasts
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 cup of breadcrumbs
- A handful of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 ball of mozzarella cheese
For the Basil Mayo:
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 handful of fresh basil leaves
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Additional:
- 3 brioche buns
- Tomato sauce
- Lettuce
Instructions:
- Coat each piece of chicken first in flour, then dip in beaten egg, and finally coat in a mix of breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan.
- Place on a baking tray and cook in an oven preheated to 375°F for 20-25 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and top each chicken breast with tomato sauce, slices of mozzarella, a sprinkle of Parmesan, a drizzle of olive oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Return to the oven for 5 minutes.
- In the meantime, combine the mayonnaise, fresh basil, and olive oil in a bowl or food processor. Blitz until smooth.
- Lastly, spread basil mayo on the bottom bun, followed by lettuce. Place the chicken on next, and cap it with the top bun.
