This 30-Minute Plum Crumble Is So Good

Feeding a sweet tooth is not easy at all. If you’re always on the lookout for amazing new recipes that will satisfy your dessert cravings, why not try this one. The plum crumble is so easy to prepare and takes around half an hour.

Ingredients

To prepare the crumble you’ll need:

  • 2 oz caster sugar
  • 3 1/2 oz chilled butter cut into cubes
  • 6 oz sifted plain flour
  • zest of 2 lemons
  • 3 1/2 oz rolled porridge oats
  • 2 oz dark muscovado sugar
  • custard

For the filling you’ll need:

  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 12-15 large ripe plums without stones and chopped
  • 51/2 caster sugar
  • butter

Instructions

  • Set the oven to 360 F degrees. Prepare an ovenproof dish with a size of 12 inches.
  • Cover the bottom of the dish with the plums and lemon juice. Add the sugar on top.
  • Mix the caster sugar, flour, butter cubes, and caster sugar in a bowl. Start mixing it so that you achieve the crumbly texture. Add the lemon zest and oats. Mix again.
  • Add the crumble on top of the plums. Place the ovenproof dish in the oven for 40 to 45 minutes. When you notice that it has a light brown color on top, that’s when it’s done.
  • Wait for it to cool down a little and serve it with the custard on the side. Enjoy the best plum crumble ever.
