There’s something incredibly comforting about the combination of potatoes and cheese, especially when they come together in the form of delicious, crispy balls. Perfect as a snack, appetizer, or side dish, Garlic Parm Potato Cheese Balls are hard to go wrong with. Let’s jump in.

Ingredients:

  • 2 large potatoes, peeled and boiled
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Oil, for frying

Instructions:

  1. Mash the boiled potatoes in a large bowl. Ensure there are no lumps for a uniform texture in your cheese balls.
  2. To the mashed potatoes, add grated Parmesan cheese, shredded mozzarella, minced garlic, and chopped parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well.
  3. Take small portions of the potato mixture and roll them into balls.  Dip each ball into the beaten egg and then roll it in breadcrumbs until fully coated.
  4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Fry the potato cheese balls in batches, turning them occasionally until they are golden brown and crispy. It should take about 3-4 minutes per batch.
  5. Drain the fried cheese balls on paper towels to remove excess oil. Serve hot and enjoy.
