There’s something incredibly comforting about the combination of potatoes and cheese, especially when they come together in the form of delicious, crispy balls. Perfect as a snack, appetizer, or side dish, Garlic Parm Potato Cheese Balls are hard to go wrong with. Let’s jump in.
Ingredients:
- 2 large potatoes, peeled and boiled
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 egg
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- Oil, for frying
Instructions:
- Mash the boiled potatoes in a large bowl. Ensure there are no lumps for a uniform texture in your cheese balls.
- To the mashed potatoes, add grated Parmesan cheese, shredded mozzarella, minced garlic, and chopped parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well.
- Take small portions of the potato mixture and roll them into balls. Dip each ball into the beaten egg and then roll it in breadcrumbs until fully coated.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Fry the potato cheese balls in batches, turning them occasionally until they are golden brown and crispy. It should take about 3-4 minutes per batch.
- Drain the fried cheese balls on paper towels to remove excess oil. Serve hot and enjoy.
