Ingredients
Dough
- 6 medium potatoes
- 5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
Batter
- 2 eggs
- 1.5 cups milk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- Pinch of salt
Additional
- Mozzarella cheese
- Breadcrumbs
Instructions
1. Peel and wash potatoes. Slice them into quarters and boil until tender.
2. Drain the potatoes and put them in a bowl. Mash them using a masher, or a fork, then add five tablespoons of all-purpose flour and a teaspoon of salt. Mix until you get a dough-like consistency.
3. Whisk two eggs in a separate bowl. Add a pinch of salt, milk, and 1 cup all-purpose flour and give it a thorough mix until all ingredients are combined into a batter.
4. Form the potato dough into small balls. During the process, place a small chunk of mozzarella cheese inside each ball.
5. Dip each ball into the batter and then cover with breadcrumbs.
6. Fry the balls in hot vegetable oil for three to four minutes or until golden brown.
