People think that being vegan is so hard because of the limited number of recipes. But once you try this vegan chocolate cake, you will completely change your mind.
For the cake you’ll need:
3 teaspoons baking powder
175 g. sugar
150 g. vegan margarine
300 ml. vegan milk
275 g. all-purpose flour
4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon lemon juice
3 tablespoons agave or maple syrup
For the frosting you will need:
200 g. confectioner’s sugar
2 teaspoons water
75 g. vegan margarine
tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
Get two round baking pans with the size of 8 inches. Also turn the oven to 320-345 F degrees.
Start by mixing the milk together with the lemon juice. Leave it on the side until it starts forming lumps.
Grab a pan and combine the syrup, margarine and coffee granules. Use medium heat to melt them. Once you’re done, set the liquid on the side.
In a bowl, add the sugar, flour, baking soda, cocoa, and baking powder. Include the melted liquid inside and mix everything together. You will get a batter that you should now bake.
Pour it equally into the two round pans and leave them in the oven for half an hour. Once the time is up, take them out of the oven and wait for at least five minutes.
In the meantime, you can prepare the icing. Mix all the ingredients together and beat them. Once the two cakes are cold, you can divide the icing and start layering.
Your delicious vegan chocolate cake is done.
