If you love fish and you love pie, we have just the right recipe for you. This fish pie is possibly the best thing you can cook over the holidays.
Ingredients
To prepare a fish pie you will need 200g of skinless salmon fillet, 200g boneless white fish fillets, 100g unsalted butter, 3 chopped hard-boiled eggs, 450 ml milk, 2 tablespoons flour, juice of 1/2 lemon, 50g grated cheese, 750g peeled, chopped Pontiac potatoes, 150g frozen peas and 1 tablespoon chopped parsley leaves. Make sure that the salmon is pin-boned.
Instructions
First, preheat the oven to 350 F degrees. Start by getting a baking dish and filling it with 400 ml milk, fish, salt, pepper, and seasoning. Bake it for 15 minutes, covered with foil. Take it out from the oven and wait for it to cool down a little. You can now divide it into small pieces.
In a separate saucepan boil the potatoes. In a second saucepan add half of the butter. Cook it for 2 to 3 minutes. Add the milk from the fish and cook until the mixture becomes thick. Include the eggs, peas, fish, lemon juice, peas, parsley, salt, and pepper. Add 50 ml milk and the remaining butter to the cooked potatoes and mash them. Once this is done, you can pour the fish mixture in a baking dish. Cover it with the mashed potatoes and sprinkle with cheese. Bake the fish pie for 25 minutes.
