Once you get an air fryer, there’s no going back. This appliance has the magical ability to prepare food with no mess in the kitchen, but you still have to clean it. Here’s how you can turn this tedious chore into a simple routine that will keep your favorite air fryer sparkly clean.

Use Parchment Paper

The idea is to prevent the mess before it happens. By using a sheet of parchment paper and throwing it out when your food is done, you will have much less work to do when it comes to the actual cleaning.

Washing

There’s no way around it. You will have to wash the baking tray and the frying basket. Use hot soapy water or check the manual to see if some parts of your air fryer can go into the dishwasher.

Wipe Everything

After the main parts are washed, use a cloth to wipe down the air fryer inside and outside. You can use a damp microfiber cloth and be sure that you’ve cleaned the appliance thoroughly.

How often should you do all this? The best idea is to give it a quick clean after every use, as that will prevent the dirt build-up. Cleaning the air fryer less often only means more work once you get to it.
