Peaches are refreshing and sweet and can be used to make all sorts of amazing desserts. The only problem is that pitting them can be pretty challenging. If you are tired of having to spend a lot of time and effort pitting peaches, check out some of these easy methods.

Pliers Method

Once you try out this method, you will never use anything else. Originally shared by TikTok user Lori Woosley, the pliers method allows you to remove pits from peaches with a single move. Hold needle-nose pliers open and stick the ends into the peach from the stem side. Close the pliers to grab hold of the pit and pull it out. Note that you need to buy new pliers and use them only for this activity.

Knife Method

This is the standard method with a twist. Simply cut the peach in half and twist the half in opposite directions. This will free up one half of the peach while the other will still be attached to the pit. Then, simply loosen it up with a knife until it pops out.

Ripe and Firm Peaches Method

You can make pitting a lot easier if you carefully pick out the peaches when buying them. You should look for ripe and firm peaches because the pit won’t be as stuck to the flesh and won’t become mushy when you apply some pressure to it.
