The Easiest and Most Perfect Key Lime Pie Recipe

Key lime pie is an American classic that everyone loves. The pie has a graham cracker crust, a tangy yet sweet filling and is super easy to decorate. Key lime pie is the perfect go-to pie recipe because it is really easy to make, and everyone is always so surprised to see you bring it out. It is also much cheaper to make your own key lime pie as opposed to buying it from the store!

Pro Tip

Although this pie is supposed to be made with Key limes, those are often expensive and do not produce a flavor much different than using regular limes.


  1. Crush up one packet of graham crackers into crumbs.
  2. Add in 5 tablespoons melted butter and 2 tablespoons sugar and mix well to combine.
  3. Press into a pie plate and bake at 350F for 10 minutes.
  4. While that’s baking, whisk one can of condensed milk with 4 egg yolks.
  5. Then, pour in 1/2 cup of fresh juice and combine.
  6. Pour the filling into the pie crust and bake for 15 minutes.
  7. Cool completely, wrap in plastic wrap and cool in the fridge for 4-8 hours to completely solidify.
  8. Serve by grating lime zest over the top and putting on dollops of fresh or bought whipped cream.
