An orange is one of the most delicious fruits that you can stick in your mouth. It’s juicy, it’s outrageously tasty, and it’s stood the test of time. People have been eating oranges for thousands of years, and it doesn’t look like anyone’s going to stop any time soon. So without further ado, here are three great ways to eat (or drink) an orange.

The Regular Way

Let’s start with the classic. Peeling the orange and popping it in your mouth. Heck, the thing is already sliced for you! It’s almost like it was made for our convenience. This is a great way to eat an orange, and definitely the most practical.

Orange Juice

Ah, you can’t really go wrong with orange juice, can you? If you love your oranges, then nothing really beats a cool, ice cold glass of orange juice on a hot summer’s day.

Zest

Finally, we’re going to switch gears and hop into the world of culinary arts. Quite often, a chef will use orange peel as a zest garnish for his or her dish. This, too, is a great way to use an orange, because the flavor of the peel can give a dish just what it needs to thrive.
