The Best Tiramisu-Inspired Dessert Recipes

If you know us, you know that our favorite meal of the day is dessert, especially when that dessert is inspired by other desserts. We’ll stop saying “dessert” now, but in all seriousness, we do really enjoy the way that some food bloggers are able to take something as simple as a cupcake and creatively incorporate the flavors of another pastry. Tiramisu, in particular, is an Italian classic with flavors that lend themselves perfectly to a variety of other sweet treats. So, without further ado, here are a few tiramisu-inspired desserts that we’re loving as of late.

Tiramisu No-Churn Ice Cream

Traditional tiramisu is made with sweetened mascarpone, a type of soft cheese whose rich and creamy texture makes it a perfect addition to homemade ice cream. This recipe by Wanderlust Munch pairs mascarpone with sweetened condensed milk and heavy whipping cream using a no-churn method that’s as easy to prepare as it is delicious. Tie it all together with a few shots of espresso and some ladyfinger cookies, of course.

Tiramisu Brownie Crinkle Cookies

As if two dessert hybrids didn’t tempt us enough, we could hardly contain our excitement upon discovering this tiramisu-brownie-cookie-mashup by blogger and cookbook author The Boy Who Bakes. What better to contain a vanilla-flavored rum-infused mascarpone filling than two dark chocolate espresso brownie-style cookies? After trying this one, we may never be able to go back to regular tiramisu again.

Tiramisu Cupcakes

If you love tiramisu but don’t love the caffeine, this recipe by Everything Marina is a great alternative. It forgoes the espresso in favor of a homemade chocolate ganache filling, complemented by a mascarpone cream cheese frosting on top. She recommends dusting the cupcakes with cocoa powder for garnish, though you could also use espresso powder if you do miss the coffee flavor.
