Sweet potato fries have slowly but surely emerged as one of the greatest finger foods of our modern generation. You can find them at sports bars, family get-togethers, and even in your college dorm room. They’re incredibly easy to make and super tasty—but we can assure you that this sweet potato fry recipe is the best of all. Let’s get into it!

Ingredients:

  • 4 large sweet potatoes, peeled with ends trimmed
  • 1 egg white
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions:

Step One:

Before you begin the process, preheat your oven to 450 F, and cover a large pan with parchment paper.

Once your sweet potatoes have been rinsed, peeled, and trimmed, chop them up into french fry-style shapes. This part of the process is really up to you, since you can make them as big or small as you want.

Step Two:

Next, place the egg white into a separate bowl and whisk it until it’s foamy. In a completely different large bowl, mix the olive oil, water, garlic powder, cumin, sugar, paprika, and pepper.

Take the chopped sweet potatoes and dress them in the foamy egg white liquid, before dressing them up in the spice mixture as well. Once each sweet potato fry is dressed, lay them out on the pan and sprinkle them with salt.

Step Three:

Roast the sweet potato fries uncovered in the oven for a total of 20 minutes. Transfer them to a serving plate and enjoy!
