If you’re an amateur chef and don’t have much time to cook in the evening, pasta is generally a go-to option. Even more so, the sauce is by far the last thing you want to worry about—which means that normally you just spill some store-bought tomato sauce all over it. But what if we told you that you can make alternative professional-tasting sauces with little effort? Here’s what we had in mind.
Alfredo Sauce
Sauté some chopped mushrooms over medium heat onto a skillet, and add in some garlic and onions. Once the mushrooms are nice and caramelized, mix in some cooking cream. It’ll take your pasta to the next level.
Sweet Potato Cream
Similar to the alfredo sauce, you should sauté some sweet potato on a skillet with onions and garlic. To make the process easier, you should grate the sweet potato so that it cooks quicker. Add the cooking cream and it’ll be perfect!
Zucchini Cream
Here’s an option if you really want to get funky. Similar to the sweet potato, grate your zucchini over the skillet and sauté it with onions and garlic. Just like the others, mix in the cooking cream and add it to your pasta!
