Candy bark is a fun and easy way to create a festive snack with just a few ingredients. It’s super customizable and kid-friendly, so if you’re looking for a simple treat that you can make along with little ones, we’ve got a recipe sure to satisfy time and time again!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of milk or white chocolate candy melts
  • Food coloring if using white chocolate (orange, purple, or green for Halloween)
  • Add-ins of choice, we suggest:
    • Halloween-themed sprinkles, orange M&Ms or Reese’s Pieces, crushed pretzels, crushed Oreo cookies

Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside
  • Place the chocolate in a microwave safe bowl and heat for 30 seconds at a time on high, stirring between each round to prevent chocolate from burning
  • If using white chocolate, add 2-3 drops of food coloring and stir until incorporated
  • Pour melted chocolate onto the baking sheet and spread with a rubber spatula into one even layer
  • Evenly sprinkle toppings of choice. This is where children (or adults!) can really have fun and get creative
  • Place bark in the refrigerator for about 45 minutes or until hardened
  • Once hardened, remove from refrigerator and transfer bark to a cutting board
  • Chop into bite-sized pieces
  • Store in an air-tight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. Enjoy!

Halloween is a great opportunity to unleash your creativity and bake and decorate some spooky treats for your friends. Here are some great ideas for your Halloween spread.

Witchy Fingers

These pretzel rods make the perfect base for creepy witchy fingers! They are quick to make and are definite crowd pleasers.

Spiderweb Donuts

If you want to keep things simple, these spiderweb donuts are a fantastic way to get with the theme without having to take an art class first!

Healthy Treats

For a healthier option, satsumas make adorable little mini pumpkins and bananas can be made into cute little ghosts. What’s not to love?

Rice Crispy Cakes

Rice crispy cakes are an old-school easy recipe that even kids can’t get wrong. To get with the theme, try molding the rice crispy cakes into pumpkins—complete with green icing and a pretzel core.

Fondant Eyeballs

Eyeball cakes are a Halloween classic, but these fondant eyeballs are truly impressive. They are a little too realistic for our liking, but hey, Halloween is supposed to be scary, right?
