Candy bark is a fun and easy way to create a festive snack with just a few ingredients. It’s super customizable and kid-friendly, so if you’re looking for a simple treat that you can make along with little ones, we’ve got a recipe sure to satisfy time and time again!
Ingredients
- 1 pound of milk or white chocolate candy melts
- Food coloring if using white chocolate (orange, purple, or green for Halloween)
- Add-ins of choice, we suggest:
- Halloween-themed sprinkles, orange M&Ms or Reese’s Pieces, crushed pretzels, crushed Oreo cookies
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside
- Place the chocolate in a microwave safe bowl and heat for 30 seconds at a time on high, stirring between each round to prevent chocolate from burning
- If using white chocolate, add 2-3 drops of food coloring and stir until incorporated
- Pour melted chocolate onto the baking sheet and spread with a rubber spatula into one even layer
- Evenly sprinkle toppings of choice. This is where children (or adults!) can really have fun and get creative
- Place bark in the refrigerator for about 45 minutes or until hardened
- Once hardened, remove from refrigerator and transfer bark to a cutting board
- Chop into bite-sized pieces
- Store in an air-tight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. Enjoy!
