This apple-cinnamon cake tastes like fall and it’s super easy to make at home. It also tastes great with unsweetened whipped cream and iced tea on a pleasant autumn day, or as a dessert after a festive dinner.

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 1 cup of oil
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 2 cups of flour

  2. Whisk the eggs with the sugar to a firm and fluffy foam.
  3. Add the oil and flour slowly and gradually.
  4. Add the mixture of apples, nuts, and cinnamon to the flour mixture.

Apple pie is definitely one of the most popular winter-time desserts. Combining apples, cinnamon, butter, and a delicious crust, this delicious creation is perfect for cold, gloomy days.

Making a great apple pie is half the apples you choose to make it with, so try to use these top-quality apple varieties if you want yours to turn out delicious.

Granny Smith

Do you like tart apples? If so, Granny Smiths are a great option for making an apple pie. They don’t fall apart when baked in the oven and they aren’t overwhelmingly sweet when combined with sugar and cinnamon, making them the perfect pick.

Golden Delicious

If you aren’t a fan of the tartness of the Granny Smiths, but you want your apple pie to have a little bit of character to combat the sweetness, Golden Delicious apples are a great choice. We especially love how cinnamon complements their mild sweetness.

Honeycrisp

Okay, let’s face it: some of us just love desserts that are as sweet as possible. Honeycrisp apples are on the sweeter side of apples that can be used to make apple pies, but they’re definitely a perfect option if that’s what you’re looking for.

In life, it’s always the smallest adjustments that can make a big difference in everything we do. Little changes usually do go a long way, more so when its food-related. The hacks in this article will seek to rid of the struggle of preparing food.

Using a rubber band to keep apples fresh

To avoid getting the irritating brown color on your sliced apples always patch the sliced pieces up using a rubber band.

Strawing a strawberry

This is a decent party hack that is less costly and would stir up the fun at a party. Slide a straw through a berry to make it pop out like a stem.

Spooning off the flesh on a kiwi

Slit the ends of the skin, then stick up a spoon inside, let the spoon tuck under the skin, then rotate it round to rid off the skin. What remains on the spoon is the fruit.

Using plastic wrappers to preserve bananas

Wrapping bananas in plastic bags speeds up the browning process. Despite this, plastic wraps look to solve this problem as this method slows down the tanning process.

Slicing an orange

Rid off the top and the bottom with a knife. Slice the orange all the way down after aligning the center of the orange with the knife. This process takes less than a second.

Using a drinking glass to peel a mango

Slice the mangoes along the pit top to bottom. Place the skin the slit area against the glass rim. Press down the glass on the mango the fruit pops inside while the skin is left outside.

Using a pastry strip to pit cherries

Though a necessary kitchen implement, a cherry pitter is one kitchen gadget that has a very limited use in the kitchen. At this point, a pastry strip comes in handy. Remove the stem from the cherry by pressing firmly over the pastry strip until the pits pop out.
