Asparagus is in season, so there is nothing to stop you from rushing to the grocery store or your local market and getting some. And don’t worry if you are short on ideas on how to use asparagus to its fullest potential.

You don’t have to complicate much in order to turn asparagus into a great dish. Simply garnish with some grated Parmesan, bake in the oven, and enjoy an amazing treat. Check out the full recipe below.

Ingredients:

  • 1 large bunch of asparagus
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan 
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Remove the bottom (tough) part of the asparagus. Wash them thoroughly and then boil them in salted water for several minutes.
  2. After boiling, remove from the water and place the asparagus on a paper towel to dry.
  3. The bottom of a baking sheet with parchment paper. Brush with olive oil and line asparagus one by one until the sheet is full.
  4. Season with salt and black pepper to your preference. Sprinkle asparagus with olive oil and then generously top with grated Parmesan.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 390F for 10 to 12 minutes.
  6. You can sever straight out of the oven or wait until it’s cooled.

If you’re still looking for a way to master the art of roasting perfect asparagus, we’re in the same boat. The list of recipes is pretty much endless, and our new favorite mixes this veggie with an awesome ingredient – parmesan cheese.

Cheese and asparagus lovers alike will fall in love with this recipe that’s pretty easy to make, even if you’re a newbie in the kitchen. Brita behind food blog Food with Feeling shared this delicious and healthy recipe on her blog, and it sounds pretty cheesy – in the best way possible!

Ingredients:

  • 1 bunch of asparagus, ends trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil (melted ghee or butter also works great!)
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup of parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. On a baking tray, line up your asparagus. Pour the oil/butter over top and sprinkle on the garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat and rearrange the asparagus so it is in a single layer.
  3. Bake for 10 minutes.
  4. Remove from the oven and sprinkle on the parmesan cheese. Bake for an additional 5 minutes or until tender.
