Is there anything worse than having to eat a soggy sandwich? Not a lot of things, if you ask us. We hate to bite into soggy sandwiches as it immediately ruins our appetite. This is why we started using these simple hacks.

Be Generous with the Condiments

Apply a generous amount of your preferred condiment to both sides of the bread. This will act as a bread coating and will prevent meat and veggie juices from soaking the bread. You can also spread some butter on the bread for added protection.

Use Crusty Bread

We discovered that using crusty bread like bread rolls or French baguettes will significantly lower the risk of having a soggy sandwich. This bread is durable against moisture and prevents sogginess even if you use other hacks.

Toast the Bread

If you have just plain sandwich bread, then toasting it is a great way to make it more soggy-resistant. But make sure to do this before assembling the sandwich for the best effect.

Avoid Hot Ingredients

When assembling the sandwich with hot ingredients, you are asking for the sandwich to be soggy. The heat will lead to condensation, and the bread will soak up all the resulting moisture. Instead, use cold ingredients or wait until the hot ingredients cool off before assembling the sandwiches.
