One great thing about eggs is that they can rarely become boring. And if you ever get tired of eating them, you can just start preparing them in a different way. If by any chance the latter happened to you, we have a perfect recipe to shake up your egg routine. Gyeran Mari is a delicious Korean rolled omelet that will allow you to step up your breakfast game significantly. The dish is versatile enough that it can be a perfect bite any time of the day. Here is how to make it.
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 1 bell pepper
- 1 scallion
- pinch of salt
Instructions
- Crack the eggs into a bowl. Give them a good whisk until you can’t tell the egg white and yolk apart.
- Finely dice the bell pepper. Do the same with the scallion.
- Add bell pepper, scallion, and a pinch of salt to your egg mixture. Keep in mind that you can swap the veggies with proteins, cheese, and anything else you feel like eating.
- Brush a non-stick pan with some cooking oil (you can use butter as well) and set it on medium heat.
- Pour half of the mixture into the heated pan while making sure it covers the surface of the pan evenly.
- After the eggs stop being runny but are still visibly wet, start rolling them from one side to the other using a spatula.
- Keep the rolled eggs in the pan while adding the remaining half of the egg mixture. Repeat the drill while using the first roll as the starting point.
- Place the Gyeran Mari on a plate, slice it, and dig in.
