Cocktails needn’t be complicated, especially when it’s hot and it’s been a long day. It takes a very simple list of ingredients to make this sparkling mezcal water, and the payoff is a refreshing drink that is both tart and floral.
Ingredients:
- ¾ cup (6 ounces) single-origin espadín mezcal
- 4 lemons
- 4 limes
- 1/3 cup simple syrup
- 3 cups sparkling water
- 1/8 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 3 cups sparkling water
- 1 cup large ice cubes
- Orange bitters
Instructions:
- Juice the lemons and limes separately.
- Stir together the espadín mezcal with ¾ cup of lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of Key lime juice, the syrup, and sea salt in a large pitcher.
- Pour in the sparkling water and ice cubes and mix.
- Before serving, top each glass with a dash of bitters
