Southside is such an underrated cocktail. This drink originates from the iconic 21 Club in New York. It’s made with gin and contains almost the same ingredients as a mojito. The total making time is 5 minutes and the recipe is meant for 1 serving.
This drink is a great idea for any season of the year. If you’re having a party, it will be the most requested cocktail without a doubt.
Ingredients:
- 6 fresh mint leaves
- 2 oz spiced gin
- 3/4 oz fresh lime juice
- 3 drops cocktail bitters
- 3/4 oz simple syrup
- ice
Instructions:
- Also known as a gin mojito, the southside cocktail is usually served in a martini glass. When you can’t find one at home you can always improvise.
- Get the glasses and set them on the side.
- Cover the lid of the shaker and start shaking.
- You should shake really well so that you get the juices out of the mint leaves.
- When you’re done, add ice cubes to the glass. Strain the drink and serve it right away. Decorate the glass with mint leaves.
