Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay doesn’t hesitate to call out people on social media for their questionable food creations. TikToker user @theshabakitchen recently learned this the hard way when Ramsay shared his reaction to her deep-fried stuffed avocado recipe.

@theshabakitchen uploaded a video back in June in which they deep-fried a stuffed avocado. The clip sees them placing some burrata in a pitted avocado that has been peeled and sliced in half. They then cover it in breadcrumbs and fry it in deep oil.

“This the only way I cook avocados now,“ wrote @theshabakitchen in the caption.

The clip captured Ramsay’s attention, and the Hell’s Kitchen star decided to make his opinion on the dish clear. In a video posted on his TikTok, Ramsay is visibly stunned by the way the recipe goes, pointing out that the avocado is unripe and that “fresh burrata was not made as a stuffing for inside an avocado.”

“They are crying their eyes out right now in Italy!” Ramsay shouts at one point before sharing the proper way to eat burrata.

“Burrata should be eaten at room temperature, lightly seasoned and drizzled with extra-virgin olive oil — not deep-fried,” he adds. “It’s going to shrivel inside, and there will be so much leakage you’ll need to see a doctor.”

Ramsay’s reaction video ended up getting more than 20 million views, with most other TikTok users agreeing with him.
