Selena Gomez has given us one of the most successful celebrity cooking shows in recent years with Selena + Chef, and there’s more where that came from! The singer-actress is getting ready to join forces with Food Network for not one, but two new cooking shows!
Gomez’s first show with Food Network will kick off late this year, and it’s been described as “a celebration-focused series just in time for the holidays.” Kathleen Finch, Warner Bros. Discovery’s chairman, described this show as the perfect way to kick off the nearly 100 hours of new and returning holiday programming on Food Network this holiday season.
The second show involving Gomez will premiere in 2024, and it will see her meet up with some of the best chefs in the country and embark on a quest to cook their most popular dishes while visiting their kitchens.
Gomez’s new deal puts the future of Selena + Chef in jeopardy, especially since this HBO Max series had a similar premise as her upcoming Food Network show. Selena + Chef ran for four seasons on this streaming service, and it saw the Emmy-nominated actress brush up her cooking skills by trying new recipes with the help of different professional chefs by her side.
