Reuse Your Leftovers With This Easy 10-Minute Recipe

When you reach the end of the week, most of us can’t be bothered to cook. Plus, you probably have various bits of leftovers from the week. If this sounds like you, this quick stir-fry recipe is perfect for you. It will help you use up the last of your leftovers, plus it will give a new flavor to the meals you’ve been eating throughout the week. All you need is one pan, cooked rice, and some leftover vegetables, and you have yourself a new meal in just 10 minutes!

Ingredients:

  • Leftover vegetables, cut small
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 egg (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder

Instructions:

  1. Heat sesame oil in a frying pan over high heat.
  2. After you cut your leftover vegetables into small pieces, toss them into the pan. Heat vegetables until warm, stirring often.
  3. Add rice and stir to combine with vegetables.
  4. Add soy sauce, honey and garlic and reduce heat to medium. Stir until rice is evenly coated with the sauce.
  5. (Optional) Push rice to one side of the pan and fry an egg on the other side. Break apart fried egg and combine with rice.
  6. Enjoy your leftover fried rice!
