Alright, BBQ enthusiasts, get ready to kick your grilling game up a notch! We’re talking about whipping up your very own batch of BBQ sauce—quick, easy, and oh-so-flavorful. There’s just something about making your own sauce that adds that extra touch of love to your grilled masterpieces, so let’s jump in.

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together the ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, honey, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
  3. Taste it and adjust the seasoning as needed, adding salt and pepper.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the BBQ sauce cool to room temperature. Transfer it to a jar or airtight container and refrigerate until ready to use.
