If you don’t have a toaster, or if your’s broke, or if you simply want to free up some counter space, there’s a way to still get perfectly toasted bread on a daily basis without one. All you need is a pan and some oil and you’ll be ready to make crispy, delicious bread slices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

A Whole Different Thing

We can even argue that fried bread is better than regular toast. Toasted bread can be dry because you’re not adding any oil to it, but fried bread has much more flavor. It’s also very crispy and goes great with many different foods.

How To Do It

Pan-friend toast is very easy to make. You simply need to heat some oil in a pan and add the bread. Once one side is done, flip to fry the other side. Transfer the fried bread to a plate, before adding some salt and any toppings you want. You can also eat it with soups, stews, or salads.

Choose the type of fat carefully. You can use coconut oil or olive oil, for example. The fat will not just add flavor but will keep you full for longer. Once you’re ready to try new flavors, use new oils and experiment with garlic-infused olive oil, peanut oil, or ghee.
