Oreo Brings Back the Red Velvet Flavor After 3 Years

One of the most popular limited Oreo flavors is making a triumphant comeback. The cookie brand just announced that it is bringing back the Red Velvet flavor after an overwhelming amount of requests from fans.

Red Velvet Oreos are already making their way onto the grocery store shelves across the nation. It will be the first time they are available since 2020.

According to the brand, the release will “feature the familiar taste fans know and love.” That taste is achieved by two velvet cookies with a cheesecake-flavor cream in between.

Unfortunately, Red Velvet Oreos are not here to stay. They are a limited release, meaning that they will be available until supplies last before riding into the sunset once again.

Red Velvet Oreos were first introduced as a limited flavor back in 2015. After being a huge success, they were made part of the brand’s permanent lineup in 2017. However, after a run of three years, Red Velvet was discontinued to make room for new flavors. Since then, the fans have been demanding its return and have now finally got it.

Earlier this year, Oreo returned some other discontinued flavors. Cotton Candy and S’more flavors made a comeback during the summer but also in a limited run.
