There are so many innovative ways to prepare gnocchi, but this recipe is our favorite so far. You have to try the mushroom gnocchi, topped off with blue cheese.
Ingredients
For the mushroom gnocchi recipe, you should get:
500 g. small Portobello mushrooms
2 x 400 g. packs fresh gnocchi
2 large garlic cloves
1 large onion
a knob of butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
150 g. pack creamy blue cheese
chopped parsley
Before you start cooking, chop the onion, mushrooms and the garlic cloves.
Instructions
Start by reading the cooking instructions on the pack of gnocchi. Boil a pot of water and pour the gnocchi in. Once they’re done, remove the water and leave the pot on the side.
Fry the mushrooms and onion together on a pan with the oil and butter. Cook them for around a minute, using high heat. You can continue by lowering it to medium, and cook for extra 5 minutes. Make sure that you mix them for a couple of times.
When you’re done, you can add the chopped garlic, and leave it on the stove for 2 more minutes.
Include the gnocchi and mix. Finish off by adding the blue cheese and parsley on top. Serve the mushroom gnocchi hot.
