Summer may be all about cocktails, but autumn is for cider. Traditionally made from apples, mulled cider takes all the flavors we love of fall and turns them into a warm drink to keep us cozy as the air gains a chill. The spiced cider is perfect to serve when entertaining as it can be made in a large batch, but there’s a good chance we’ll be drinking all of it ourselves!
Ingredients:
- 8 cups apple cider
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 2 whole allspice berries
- 2 whole cloves
- 2 whole cardamom seeds
- 1 slice fresh ginger
- 1 orange, thinly sliced
Method:
- Place all the ingredients in a large saucepan and bring to a simmer.
- Once warm and fragrant, ladel the liquid into mugs and serve hot.
