If you’re looking to reduce your food waste and reduce the number of toxic chemicals you use in your home, you’re going to want to keep reading! We’ve got the perfect hack for you that will help you save money and the planet.

Did you know that you can use old citrus peels to make your own all-purpose spray cleaner? Most store-bought cleaners contain a high number of toxic chemicals, and we use these cleaners all over our houses! It’s always better to use a natural solution when possible, and if you find yourself using a lot of citrus like lemons or oranges, it will be easier to make this at home than to buy it at the store!

All you need to do is save your citrus peels in a glass jar until it is completely full. Once you have enough peels saved up, cover them with white vinegar. Make sure the container is sealed air-tight and store it in a dark place for two weeks.

After two weeks, you can pour the liquid through a strainer and put the resulting mixture into a spray bottle. You can also dilute it with water if it’s too strong.

This all-purpose spray can be used to clean your counters, sink, or really anything! You’ll see that it works–and smells–great!
