May the Fourth has come and gone, but for Star Wars fans, each day is a reason for celebration. If you want to make a fun cocktail that resembles the famous Master Yoda, mixologist Michael Matzkeit has just the thing for you. The recipe requires two liqueurs and two more ingredients and it’s really not difficult to make it at home.
If you want to make it, you’ll need 25 milliliters of gin, 25 milliliters of Chartreuse liqueur, 25 milliliters of maraschino liqueur, and 25 milliliters of lime juice. For garnish, you’ll need a few maraschino cherries and some lime.
“At first glance, this recipe seems unusual. Two of these four ingredients are liqueurs. But at first sip, the Last Word immediately makes sense. Maraschino and Chartreuse Verte complement each other perfectly and cover up the respective weaknesses of the partner, while gin and lime build a stable framework that the palate can use for orientation,” Matzkeit writes on Instagram.
