It’s officially sweater weather, and time to cozy up by the fireplace with some warm seasonal drinks. Sure, a cup of coffee or tea will keep you toasty, but who can resist the flavored seasonal drinks like pumpkin spice lattes, apple ciders, and hot chocolates? While these drinks are super delicious, they happen to be loaded with sugar and syrups, making them not the healthiest option. But with these tips, you can still enjoy your favorite fall drinks without feeling guilty about the calories and sugar in them.

Apple Cider

Spiced apple cider with whipped cream and caramel is super tasty, but it’s loaded with sugar from the syrups and whipped cream. If you want apple cider, just drink a cup of apple cider.

Chai Tea Latte

The spices like cinnamon, cloves, and cardamom scream fall, but when you order a chai tea latte, it comes with steamed milk and chai tea concentrate. Next time you want a chai tea latte, go for a smaller size or ask the barista to not include as much concentrate.

Hot Chocolate

Caramel hot chocolates, peppermint hot chocolates, raspberry hot chocolates…there are so many choices when it comes to this drink, and they all happen to be loaded with sugar from the syrups and whipped cream. If you want hot chocolate, make your own with dark chocolate.

Pumpkin Spice Latte

Oh, we saved the best for last. And there’s a reason why these taste so good—they have tons of sugar. You can still order this drink, but stay away from the whipped cream and sugar drizzle.
