Barbie is celebrating her 65th birthday this year, and Krispy Kreme is marking the occasion in style. Our favorite doughnut chain joined forces with Mattel and celebrated Barbie’s latest anniversary by adding four new flavors to the menu.
Barbie x Krispy Kreme collection will be available for a limited time from September 3 at select locations, in honor of the brand’s 65th anniversary. They also joined forces with several retailers, including Walmart, Kroger, Food Lion, and Publix, to make this delicious line available across the East Coast.
The new launch includes four new doughnut flavors, called Barbie Pink, Malibu Dream Party, Barbie Berries ‘n Kreme, and Barbie Sweet 65th Doughnut. Barbie Pink pays homage to the brand’s signature color, and it’s basically Krispy Kreme’s original glazed doughnut with pink buttercream.
Malibu Dream Party and Barbie Berries ‘n Kreme are both unglazed shell doughnuts filled with different types of Krispy Kreme’s signature creams, including Cake Batter Kreme and Strawberry Kreme. Barbie Sweet 65th Doughnut puts a twist on the original glazed doughnut, and it’s dipped in chocolate icing and covered in sprinkles.
In addition to offering four new flavors inspired by Barbie, Krispy Kreme is also launching other Barbie-themed treats at participating shops. Those wearing pink at selected Krispy Kreme locations will even receive a free original glazed doughnut.
