Kellogg’s New Instabowls Let You Take Your Cereal on the Go

Kellogg’s has solved the “out of milk” cereal conundrum.

Milk is an essential ingredient in cereal (unless you like it dry, like a heathen, but you do you…). Unfortunately it isn’t always around. You may find that the milk has gone bad, it’s finished, or your favorite milk alternative is out of stock. Sure, you could try eating your cereal with other liquids, like juice, but who really wants to put themselves through that first thing in the morning?

That’s where Kellogg’s, the century-old cereal manufacturer, has come to the rescue. The company has now developed a product where you simply need to add water to enjoy your breakfast.

Kellogg’s Instabowls feature powdered milk, with the water turning it into liquid. The product has reportedly been in the works for two years.

“In recent years, there has been a huge trend toward portability for food, especially as busy schedules and life’s everyday curve balls prevent traditional sit-down meals,” said Chris Stolsky, marketing director at the Kellogg Company. “We created Kellogg’s Instabowls as an easy solution for the ‘anytime cereal break’ so you can now bring your favorite Kellogg’s cereals with you wherever life takes you and not have to worry about milk, dishes, or clean-up.“

The Instabowls are available in Frosted Flakes, Froot Loops, Apple Jacks, and Raisin Bran Crunch.
