Is to Okay to Have 4 Main Meals a Day?

The traditional way that all people have been eating since anyone can remember is to eat three main meals a day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This is the way that modern society operates, and while there are all kinds of miniature snacks that get squeezed in between, they revolve around the aforementioned big three. But what if someone wanted to make themselves a regular fourth main meal a day? Would something like that be okay?

We All Get Hungry

We’re not talking about a snack. We’re not talking about an ice cream cone or a handful of nuts. We’re talking about a legitimate meal. It’s not so crazy to think that someone wouldn’t crave a fourth meal, especially when you consider that dinner is the only one in place from 1 p.m. to bedtime. It’s a long time period, and heck, people get hungry.

Making It Work

It is our belief that a fourth meal can definitely be arranged as long as you make it work. You would have to eat lunch around 12 p.m., “first dinner” around four, and “second dinner” around eight or nine. Additionally, the final two meals would have to be smaller, but not so small that you could categorize them as snacks. It’s possible that many people already do this, but labeling it and being consistent with it is a whole other ball game!
