Impress Your Guests With This Garlic Basil Pasta

Making pasta is a great way to both save money and fill you up, but it doesn’t have to be the same old recipe every time. There are endless different variations of flavors that you can accompany your pasta with, and this garlic basil rendition is simply to die for. Simple and subtle, this recipe is the perfect combination of being easy to make and guaranteed to impress.

Ingredients

  • 1 box pasta
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 2 ounces chopped scallions
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons chopped basil
  • 3 diced tomatoes

Cooking the Pasta

The most obvious thing you need to do is cook the pasta. Place the pasta into a pot of boiling water, and when the pasta is tender, drain the pot and set the pasta aside for later.

Assembling the Mixture

Pour the olive oil lightly over a medium-heat skillet until it’s hot. Add the garlic, scallions, salt, pepper, tomatoes, and basil, and sauté the whole enchilada for a total of five minutes at least.
