IHOP is Releasing Mini Pancake Cereal

Remember when back in 2020, everyone was eating mini pancake cereal? The trend started on TikTok (where else?) and saw foodies baking mini pancakes and then eating them in a bowl with milk as if they were cereal. Well, if you kind of forgot about this, pancake house IHOP is there to remind you.

IHOP, one of the biggest breakfast food restaurants in the country, teamed up with cereal maker General Mills to create their original mini pancake cereal.

According to the press release, the cereal will come in Blueberry & Syrup flavor and feature “lots of itty, bitty pancake-shaped pieces.” The company claims they are not only suitable to eat with milk for breakfast but also as a snack or ice cream topping.

IHOP also shared the news on social media, showcasing the cereal’s packaging.

The IHOP Mini Pancake Cereal will come to selected retailers in December before rolling out nationwide in early 2022.

“After the viral moment in 2020, we knew guests had an appetite for an IHOP cereal,” explained IHOP’s chief marketing officer Kieran Donahue. “We helped create this iconic cereal in hopes that our guests would look forward to it any time of day.”
