If You’re a Cheetos Fan, You Have to Head to This Tiny Canadian Town

As Cheeto aficionados will know, indulging in the cheesy treat can get a little… messy. The orange dust—while full of delicious cheesy flavor—has a habit of clinging to fingers and can ruin more than a few outfits. No white shirts during Cheeto time, please.

Yet, as untidy as the snack may be, that iconic dust is what makes Cheetos what they are! And now, the unavoidable rite of passage of having one’s fingers covered in the bright powder, has been memorialized in a tiny Canadian town.

If you venture to Cheadle, which is located 30 miles east of Calgary in south-central Alberta, you won’t find much. The town boasts only 100 people, but what it does have is a statue of fingertips covered in Cheeto dust, holding one of the chips, that stands 17-foot high.

“Cheetos fans have always known that the delicious, cheesy dust on their fingertips is an unmistakably delicious part of the Cheetos experience, but now it officially has a name: Cheetle,” declared Lisa Allie, the Senior Marketing Director for PepsiCo Foods Canada. “We’re excited to be celebrating Cheetle and Canadians’ cheesy, Cheetle-dusted fingertips on such a grand scale and in such a uniquely mischievous way.”

The Cheetle Hand Statue can be found for a limited time at 400 Railway Avenue until November 4.
