Hungover? Here’s What to Eat

We’ve all been there—waking up with a pounding headache, queasy stomach, and regret for having that one (or two or three) extra drinks the night before. Hangovers are no fun, but there are some foods that can help ease the pain and get you feeling better faster.

Hydrate

First up, hydrate! Alcohol dehydrates your body, so it’s important to drink plenty of water or electrolyte-rich beverages like coconut water or sports drinks.

Carbs

Next, you’ll want to replenish your body with some healthy carbs. Toast or a bagel with peanut butter can provide some much-needed energy, while bananas or berries can provide a quick burst of natural sugar.

Eggs

Eggs are also a great option, as they contain amino acids that can help break down toxins in your body. Try making a breakfast burrito with scrambled eggs, cheese, and veggies for a filling and nutritious meal.

Soup

Finally, don’t forget about the power of soup. Chicken noodle soup or miso soup can provide a comforting and easy-to-digest meal that also helps replace lost fluids.
