Keep Water Within Reach

The most common reason why we get dehydrated is simply because we forget to drink water. Keeping a glass of water on a work desk and carrying a water bottle in a purse are simple tricks to always have water on hand and prevent dehydration.

If you’re very thirsty that means that you’re already dehydrated and that’s why we shouldn’t wait for this moment in order to drink water. Drinking enough fluids throughout the day, whether you’re thirsty or not, is the most important thing for preventing dehydration.

Eat a Balanced Diet

Keep in mind that drinking water and other beverages is not the only way to get enough fluids. Eating a balanced diet and foods that have high water content such as tomatoes, zucchini, peaches, or spinach is another great way to prevent dehydration.
