Hummus is a healthy and versatile dish that you can use with many different flavors and for many different meals. You can use a variety of foods to dip into the hummus, from bread to cheese sticks. One of the healthiest options though are fresh carrots. It is a great way to enhance the flavor of the hummus while leaving a fresh taste in your mouth. Here’s how to prepare your carrot dippers.

Skin

Carrot sticks are perfect for dipping into your hummus. First, skin the carrot with a peeler so that it is all smooth.

Cut the Carrot Into Sheets

Next, cut the carrot in half crossways so you have two long halves. Use the broad blade of a cheese grater to grate each half into large sheets of carrot.

Chop Into Sticks

When you are left with these, cut each one lengthways into four or five carrot sticks. These will then be the perfect length and width for dunking.

Enjoy

And there you have it! Perfect carrot for dipping into hummus. Each one has a satisfying crunch which complements the creamy texture of the hummus. For best results, eat with plain hummus or garlic and herb varieties.
