How to prepare delicious and healthy sweet potatoes and chilli soup

Did you know that there is actually a week dedicated to sweet potatoes called the Sweet Potato week?  Not only sweet potato tastes better, but also infuses a rare flavor of richness in your meals. Today, we will show you how you can prepare healthy sweet potatoes soup with a bit of chilly burst in it.


  • 1 large pinch of chili flakes
  • 750 grams peeled and coarsely chopped sweet potato
  • Few garlic cloves (crushed)
  • 1 large onion
  • 15 grams butter
  • Sea salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper (to taste)
  • Chilly infused olive oil for garnishing
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • Vegetable stock


Follow these simple steps:


  • Heat the butter in a large pan and then sauté the onion with it gently.
  • After few minutes, add garlic and chili flakes. Sauté the mixture well
  • Add vegetable stock and sweet potato at a lower flame. Simmer for about 10-15 minutes until potatoes become soft
  • Do the seasoning according to the taste of sea salt and black pepper
  • Pour into bowls and garnish, ready to serve
