How to Prepare a Fresh Artichoke

Artichokes are one of those vegetables that make people want to run for the hills when they see them. They can definitely be very intimidating, but in reality, they’re super easy to prepare! Depending on how you want to use them, there are a couple ways to make them into a delicious dish.

Dipping Artichokes

If you want to be dipping the leaves of the artichokes into some sort of sauce, you actually only need to wash them, and throw them into a pot of boiling water for 30 minutes or until they’re tender, then you can get to eating!

For grilling, adding into pasta, tarts, or other dishes, you need to clean up the artichoke really well. However, this isn’t a difficult process!

All you have to do is take off all of the artichoke leaves, and once you get it down to the leaves that come together to make a point, cut that off with a serrated knife.

Take a small knife and go around the artichoke to make sure there are no leaves underneath, and scrape out the choke with a spoon, and they’re ready to cook!

Boil them, grill them, bake them; anyway you cook them they are delicious.
