There’s something about making food yourself that just makes it taste so much better. Maybe it’s because you know exactly what ingredients are in it, or maybe it’s because you know it was made with love. Whatever the reason, making snacks from home is a great idea.

And what’s everyone’s favorite snack? Potato chips! Potato chips are super easy to make at home, and you can customize them to your exact flavor preferences. Here’s how to make them!

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs of your favorite potatoes
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil (oil spray will also work great if you have it)
  • 2 tablespoons sea salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Peel potatoes and slice as thin as possible. If you have a mandoline, that will help you achieve the thinnest and most uniform slices. It’s important to make sure all the slices are the same size so that they take the same amount of time to cook.
  3. Pat your potato slices dry and add to a large bowl. Add olive oil and sea salt and mix until all chips are evenly coated.
  4. Lay your potato slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Do not let them overlap, otherwise it will not get crispy. Bake until they begin to turn a golden brown.
  5. Add chips to a large bowl and season with your favorite flavors. Enjoy!
