Crunchy, cheesy, and irresistibly flavorful—nacho cheese Doritos are a snack favorite. But what if you could capture all that deliciousness right in your kitchen? Making homemade nacho cheese Doritos is not only fun but also an easy way to make a healthier version of your favorite snack.

Ingredients:

  • Tortillas
  • 1 tablespoon of powdered cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon of chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cornstarch (to help the seasoning stick)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 F. Stack a few of your favorite tortillas and cut them into triangles.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the powdered cheddar cheese, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, and salt. The cornstarch in the mix will help the seasoning stick to the chips.
  3. Toss the tortilla pieces in a bowl with the nacho cheese seasoning. Make sure they’re coated evenly. You can adjust the amount of seasoning to your preference.
  4. Place the seasoned tortilla wedges on a tray lined with parchment paper. Bake in the oven until crispy (10-15 min), turning the chips over halfway through baking. Baking time might vary slightly depending on your tortilla.
