Summertime in Britain is Pimms time. Pimms is a fruity cocktail that can be found at every barbecue picnic and garden party. It’s also traditionally drunk at cricket matches and tennis tournaments like Wimbledon. If you want to inject a bit of British summertime into your day, try this simple recipe for working up delightful Pimms in a flash.

Gather Ingredients

To make traditional British Pimms you need a bottle of Pimms liqueur, a large serving jug, some sparkling lemonade, cucumber, fresh mint leaves, orange segments, and strawberries.

Get The Ratios Right

The trick is to get the right amount of Pimms to lemonade. The traditional ratio is 1 part Pimms to 3 parts sparkling lemonade. This makes it a light and refreshing drink that you can enjoy throughout the day. Pour them into the serving jug to distribute later.

Prepare Fruit

Slice the cucumber into thin circles, cut the strawberries into halves, and isolate each segment of orange.

Serve

Pimms is usually prepared in a large jug. When the Pimms and lemonade have been prepared, pop each of the fruits into the drink and give the jug a swirl. Then, pour the cocktail out into tall glasses and enjoy!
